About the Doctor
Dr. Rocío García Cobos is a medical specialist in Neurology with over 15 years of experience in clinical neurology and research. She is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, migraine, trigeminal neuralgia and chronic pain.
She combines a strong clinical career at leading national hospitals with outstanding research activity, having participated as Principal Investigator and sub-investigator in multiple international clinical trials. She sees patients in both Spanish and English.
Experience
Medical degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, she specialised in Neurology via MIR residency at the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid. She also holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Neurosciences from the Complutense University of Madrid.
She served as Head of the Neurology Inpatient Unit and Head of the Cognitive Disorders Unit at Quirónsalud Madrid University Hospital for over 10 years. Throughout her career she has worked as a consultant neurologist at Hospital Universitario La Paz, Hospital Moncloa, Hospital Nuestra Señora del Rosario and Hospital Sanitas La Zarzuela, all leading Madrid institutions.
She has taught as Associate Professor of Medicine at the European University of Madrid, and has collaborated as Principal Investigator and sub-investigator in numerous research projects and clinical trials in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
Throughout her career she has authored numerous publications at national and international congresses, peer-reviewed journal articles and specialist book chapters in neurology.
